Pupils Committee Election 2020-2021 – Congrats to all!

This year, the CDE’s rules for the election changed. Instead of having one meeting with the class representatives where the CDE candidates run for the corresponding posts, we first elected the committee’s members. Each candidate would give a two minute speech, then each class representative voted “yes” or “no”, deciding whether the candidate becomes a member or not. If at least 50% of the votes were “yes”, then he or she had become a member of the committee. Nine out of the twelve candidates became members. After the first round of elections, the members who were interested in the post of president organised a campaign, which lasted one week. At the end of the week, all secondary students had the chance to vote for one of the three candidates through an anonymous survey online. Kimon Koussoulakos Vasilounis was elected president with 54% of the vote. Then, the CDE had one more meeting where the members elected Zofia Leib as vice president.

Finally, the rest of the posts were assigned as follows:

Secretary: Alexandra Pantouli

Treasurer: Agata Mala

Cosup1: Iker Lopez Sarria

Cosup2: Matis Jürgensen

Webmaster: Rafael Silva Mendes

Public Relations: Filip Dluhy

Project liaisons: Lili Rouveure

This year, the CDE aims to work and contribute to the students’ well-being (both physical and mental), promoting freedom of speech and complete transparency, as well as to make the school even more eco-friendly.
