Payments for APEEE Services

Dear Parents,

We are all facing a difficult period. We sincerely hope that all of you and your families are doing well and are safe at home.

We would like to inform you what the APEEE is planning with respect to reimbursements/payments for services not provided on 9/10 March and from 16 March 2020 (school closure dates) onwards:

Refunds for School Closure Period:

Parents will receive a refund for services already paid for but not provided during the school's closure. As the date of the school's re-opening is not clear at this stage (closure until 3 May is the known date so far), the precise percentage and the final amount per family will be determined after a careful assessment of the total period after deducting overhead and administration costs (e.g. staff costs, due payments to external providers etc.). The APEEE Board will take a first global decision on 28 April 2020 and we will then inform parents accordingly.

Remaining Due Payments for School Year:

Regarding payments for the third instalment for this school year (for all services) we have decided not to call for payments and therefore depending on the service and method of payment:

- Any payments made by Direct Debit for the third installment have not been initiated by the APEEE – you do not need to take any action

- For third installment Canteen or Transport Payments that are not collected by Direct Debit – reminders for you to pay will not be sent by the APEEE for payment – you do not need to take any action

- If you already paid in advance for any service (e.g Extra-Curricular Activities or Transport), you will be reimbursed in due date (in May).

In the event that the school will re-open later in May or June, we will inform you about the due amount for services to be provided for the remaining days until the end of the school year.

Finally, there are still a number of outstanding payments for services provided prior to the school’s closure. Whilst your APEEE is being totally fair in offering reimbursements and not charging disproportionately for services during the closure we kindly ask you to respect your obligations in settling payments for services already received if you have not already paid.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. Our Parents Association is in close coordination with other APEEEs and in regular consultations with all stakeholders involved with a view to adopting fair decisions for all.

Kind Regards,

Your APEEE
