A novelist of our school participates in Brussels Book Fair

The fourth historical novel by Nathalie Stalmans, teacher of morals and history at the Ixelles European School, is due out this month.

The title is "Le vent du boulet". She will be holding a signing session at the Brussels Book Fair on Friday 23 February 17.30 and 19.30 and on Sunday 25 February between 14.00 and 16.00, Stand 318 of the Interforum.

Here’s a summary:

In 1796, in the chaos of the aftermath of the revolution, a stranger arrives in Brussels. Abandoned at birth, he is searching for his mother. All he has is an address: A house in the Rue Neuve, where two families are living. He knows that his mother is living there, but who is she? Barbe, the cook, Elisabeth the ex-nun, or the bourgeois Anastasie? The existence of these three women plunges us into the history of Brussels in the second half of the eighteenth century, a pivotal period between two worlds.
