Breakfast - reward of the Canteen for the Heroes of Zero Waste of P5DE

Once upon a time - two years ago - there was a class of P3DE children who had difficulty behaving well at the Canteen, and who after each passage left behind quite a lot of waste. The coordinator Mrs. Donzel and the canteen staff had therefore set up an awareness programme on waste treatment, following the lines of the children's guide "Heroes of Zero Waste", promoted by the UN Zero Waste program. For two years, this class conscientiously weighed the final waste at each meal and tried to reduce it as much as possible. The results were so amazing that the canteen was keen to reward their efforts. On Wednesday 7 October at 9am, the P5DE class was officially invited to the Canteen to receive their prize, a full breakfast just for them!

All hygiene measures, hand cleaning, distance and masks for the staff were respected. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was festive, and all the canteen staff applauded the children, who were very happy to have become real little "zero waste heroes"!

This beautiful story made many classes want to join the project. The Canteen would be delighted to support their start-up, once the circumstances will be more favourable!
