APEEE message on COVID-19

Dear Parents,

Last week, we have closely followed the developments concerning the coronavirus and we have been in close contact with the School to monitor the situation.

Yesterday, we have all received a communication from Ms Sciberras providing updated information on preventive actions to be put in place after the school holiday week.

The APEEE will follow the same policy as the school with regard to our Services. This means that next week all services (buses, canteen and afterschool activities) will operate regularly.

In the meantime, conscious of the importance of putting in place some necessary measures to protect the health of the School community, we have decided that:

  • All APEEE staff who have travelled in the red zone areas, as indicated in the Communication from the Office of the Secretary General of the European School, have to respect a 14-days period of isolation from School*. The same request has been put forward to all our service providers;
  • Disinfectant gel will be put at the disposal of the APEEE staff in all relevant areas. As far as the kitchen is concerned, please note that our kitchen staff as well as the serving staff are fully trained with respect to the hygiene rules to maintain during the service;
  • All our service providers have been and will continue being informed about the applicable policy measures.
